Difference between high and low velocity:

• ​High velocity = modern rifles (all center and rimfire ammunition) and crossbows (disabled exemptions for crossbows)
• Low velocity = shotguns (all shot sizes and slugs), archery, muzzleloader/black powder, slingshots, air rifles

Hunting and fishing at JBLM is regulated by state and federal laws and Army and Range policies and regulations. Hunting seasons, dates, licensing, weapons restrictions, and bag limits are established by and in accordance with state regulations. Washington State hunting and fishing regulations must be obeyed while recreating at JBLM (see links below).
